Damage and Failure of Composite Materials

This article is a summary of six lectures given by the author at webinar, “Advanced Theories for Deformation, Damage and Failure in Materials” organized International Centre Mechanical Sciences, Udine, Italy, May 3–7, 2021. The topics dealt with mechanisms damage failure, continuum synergistic mechanics, failure theories anisotropic homogenized solids, physical modeling composites containing manufacturing defects. Finally, future research directions were discussed. An attempt made here to bring together those coherent manner provide comprehensive exposition field composite materials.
